About the Role 

As an Operations Senior Engineer, you are responsible for all electrical and mechanical assets in the data center. Because the data center is a highly critical environment, the stakes are high and you will have an important stake in the fulfilling of the Yondr operational tasks.
To enable you to fulfil this responsibility, you will be involved in the design and acceptance of new data centers, defining the maintenance regime for your assets, approving operational procedures for the maintenance and incident management as well as auditing the completion 
thereof. To ensure optimal functioning of your assets, you will lead and approve root cause analysis and improvements after incidents happen, as well as propose improvements to optimise the functioning of your assets. For the implementation of these improvements, you will 
act as project owner and oversee the completion of the project. 

 

Main Responsibilities 

/ Ensure Building maintains 100% uptime using all reasonable means and methods to achieve, taking into consideration Health & Safety and financial obligations but still keeping focus on client SLAs and KPI’s
/ Be overall responsible for all Electrical / Mechanical aspects of site 
/ Responsible for the life cycle management of all assets
/ Responsible for the onsite lead of RCAs, single point of failure analysis, site risk register management in collaboration with regional design & engineering teams
/ Write technical specifications and reports
/ Ensuring complete compliance in regard to Yondr Group processes and procedures, also ensuring Local in-house staff and FM provider demonstrate compliance with processes and procedures
/ Assist the management with preparation, review and performance of all activities related to ISO compliance and audits
/ Monitor the maintenance program of the electrical and mechanical assets and coordinate these activities with all cross-functional teams
/ Coordinate the writing and approval of all procedures for normal and emergency operations
/ Coordinate the creation and approval of technical training and drill documentation and program
/ Providing and assisting the site technical Yondr team and Site Operations Manager in all reports. These could be daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual and will be of technical nature
/ Assist the management in the preparation / review of the site CAPEX plan and budget 
/ Respond to incidents and instruct the FM teams on how to react in different large scale events (Business Continuity)
/ Responsible for Electrical, Mechanical and Environmental related statutory registrations and management to ensure compliance with local regulations
/ Develop and maintain vendor relationships ensuring continuous technical professional development
/ Provide input to the services design, focusing on Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, and supporting the coordination of other services packages
/ Leading energy efficiency (PUE) improvement initiatives / projects
/ Represent the Ownership on factory acceptance tests and site testing & commissioning activities

 

Qualifications 

/ A bachelor degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent
/ At least 8 - 10 years relevant working experience 
/ Good knowledge of standard practices in the design and maintenance industry
/ Good knowledge of standard practices in commissioning and testing of HVAC equipment
/ Good understanding of the daily (operational) business of critical environments
/ Experience in developing projects, and basic project management functions of document management, excellent communication and collaboration
/ Availability to provide emergency cover as required
