About the Role 

The Critical Services Manager is responsible for delivery of all critical services of the data center during its operational life cycle, including health & safety, compliance, the financial aspects and vendor management.

To enable you to fulfil this responsibility, you will be involved in the design and acceptance of new data centers, defining the maintenance regime for your assets, approving operational procedures for the maintenance and incident management as well as auditing the completion thereof. To ensure optimal functioning of your assets, you will approve root cause analysis  and improvements after incidents happen, as well as propose improvements to optimise the functioning of your assets. For the implementation of these improvements, you will act as project owner and oversee the completion of the project.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Health, safety and fully compliant operations, including all environmental aspects
  • Deliver Yondr data center critical service as contracted by our customers
  • Responsible for the life cycle management of all electrical and mechanical assets
  • Ensuring complete compliance in regard to Yondr Group processes and procedures, also ensuring Local in-house staff and FM provider demonstrate compliance with processes and procedures
  • Coordinate the writing and approval of all procedures for normal and emergency operations
  • Respond to incidents and instruct the FM teams on how to react in different
  • Responsible for Electrical related statutory registrations and management to ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships ensuring continuous technical professional development

Qualifications and experience 

  • Degree education or industry experience
  • Experience in critical environments > 6 years
  • Good written and oral communication skills: English
  • Good understanding of the daily (operational) business of critical environments
  • Available to provide emergency cover and manage incidents outside normal working hours as needed.
  • Leadership skills and can lead by example.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the confidence to lead and motivate the team and those around you.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Broad experience in managing critical environments, data centres or smart buildings.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced regional and global business
  • Good, clear and precise delegation skills
  • Sensitive to political situations - good relationship builder
  • Experience in health and safety regulations and statutory requirements
  • Experience in building positive relationships, addressing customer needs effectively, and ensuring a high standard of service in customer-facing roles
