About the Role 

As the Regional Technical Director of the Operations team, you will be responsible for all technical assets and aspects of our Data Center ensuring optimal availability of our technical services and assets throughout their entire lifecycle, taking into consideration operations, health & safety, environment, costs, investments and customer requirements.

 

Main Responsibilities 

/ Responsible for all technical aspects of our Data Centre including, but not limited to, all assets (electrical, mechanical, security- systems, building, technical management systems), technical skills and know-how, information, compliance, testing & commissioning, handover, maintenance, operations, problem & risk management, life-cycle, projects and reports.

/ People manager of electrical, mechanical, and control subject matter experts (SMEs).

/ Ensure optimal availability of our technical services and assets. 

/ Management of technical site teams, service providers (FM), suppliers

/ Implementation and continuous development of our maintenance regimes and site operating procedures (MOP, SOPs, EOPs).

/ Ensuring complete compliance in regard to Yondr processes and local regulations.

/ Review the operations workflow and approval process of RA/MS (Risk assessment and method statement) from Contractors required to carry out work in the building.

/ Support the regions and the site technical Yondr team. 

/ Attend required meetings with Key stakeholders / customers to represent Operations to ensure proper and correct decisions based on facts are made for the good of the Operational team and strategy.

/ 50%-70% travelling required at times.

 

Qualifications and experience 

/ Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical), advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., P.E., PMP, relevant technical certifications) preferred with 10+ years of experience.

/ 5years of progressive experience in technical leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing and leading technical teams in critical environments.

/ Ability to demonstrate operational skills and experience to design, maintain and operate critical environments preferable Data Centres within the Asia Pacific region. 

/ Prior experience with the delivery of high complex technical projects.

/ Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

/ Strategic mindset with the ability to align technical strategies with business goals and client needs.

/ Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

/ Results oriented, highly accountable and strong organizational skills.

/ Excellent external radar so that they pick up on industry trends.
