About the role and team

The People team's goal is to develop and retain outstanding people! As a People Partner, you act as a business-embedded advisor who helps leaders improve workforce effectiveness, capability readiness and team adaptation by combining people expertise, evidence, and change support.

You solve day-to-day people and organisational challenges with people-related solutions. You use people data and business context to spot risks and patterns before they become problems, and you're confident in challenging managers on root causes.

You run People initiatives whilst playing a pivotal role in wider company projects, connecting engagement, performance into one picture, and playing an active part in delivering our People strategy including supporting the roll-out of company-wide change and the adoption of AI-enabled ways of working.

What you'll be doing 

  • Advise leaders on workforce effectiveness, capability readiness and team adaptation, constructively challenging managers on performance, engagement and employee relations with evidence rather than instinct
  • Builds trusted relationships with leaders and teams across your assigned business area, empowering them to scale with the business while keeping autonomy and a great people experience at the centre
  • Owns local workforce insight and risk scanning, using people metrics, data and AI-enabled insight as baseline inputs to identify risk, trends and opportunities before they escalate
  • Partners with People Operations to design, deliver and embed people strategy, OKRs and initiatives from local team needs through to company-wide change programmes
  • Partners on workforce planning, organisational change and team design, ensuring the people implications of change are visible early, not after the fact
  • Leads team-level capability planning, supporting decisions on role redesign, skill transition and team shape, and identifying where work patterns or role structures need to evolve as technology and business needs change
  • Guides managers through the people implications of AI-enabled work, including adoption, fairness, trust and change readiness
  • Brings a human-centred lens to change, balancing productivity, capability, engagement and employee impact
  • Stays close to wider business updates and priorities, proactively looking for opportunities to add value beyond traditional People Partnering and support broader business initiatives
  • Coaches leaders to sharpen their people decisions and strengthen manager practice
  • Escalates systemic and strategic talent risks, proposing practical solutions and influencing cross-functional action where needed
  • Works with the wider People team to keep processes and experiences consistent and scalable across the business
  • Builds and shares expertise staying ahead of market best practice, growing your own knowledge, and confidently passing learnings on to others across the business
  • Brings energy and a solution-driven mindset, offering fresh thinking and confidently representing the People function at every level of the business
  • Champions our values and culture, acting as a role model and supporting their continual embedding across the business
  • Any other ad hoc related duties & projects as required
