So what’s the role?

We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Controller to join our team and help steer our financial operations as we continue to scale.

Sounds great – what will I do?

As the Finance Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial activities and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounting, financial reporting, payroll and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws across our operational regions.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual standalone and consolidated financial statements.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and processes to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to the leadership team to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure financial stability and identify areas for improvement or growth.
  • Lead and manage the company’s financial audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to support the company's growth plans post-Series A funding.

Sounds perfect to me, what’re the details?

Minimum Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Big 4 accountancy firm experience is essential, with a strong understanding of corporate finance and compliance.
  • Proven experience managing financial audits, including working with external auditors.
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), financial regulations, and tax law compliance.
  • Experience with enterprise-level SaaS businesses or scaled software companies.
  • Experience in a start-up or high-growth technology environment is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex financial data clearly to senior management.
  • Experience in working with VCs and investors and producing relevant metrics and reporting
  • Proficiency with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
