Wallapop Advertising operates at the intersection of e-commerce and advertising, offering an array of digital display advertising solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy – from secondhand goods to ancillary services. We help advertisers reach customers on Wallapop, across our app and website, on millions of devices across Spain, Italy and Portugal. We put the customer at the center of everything we do, including in advertising.

We are seeking an experienced Advertising Business Manager to lead our advertising
team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in digital advertising, strong existing relationships with key agencies and clients in the Spanish market, and in-depth knowledge of programmatic display advertising and data-driven solutions. A commitment to promoting sustainable digital advertising practices is desired.
What You Will Do 👇
- Lead advertising team and partner with stakeholders – internally and externally
- Lead, hire and develop the Wallapop Advertising team (4 FTEs): AdOps, Programmatic, Direct Sales. Guide and support team in identifying opportunities, resolving issues, improving processes – always fostering operational excellence
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Product, Marketing) on tribe planning, brand associations, agency negotiations
- Showcase Wallapop Advertising in industry (media, ecommerce) and associations (e.g., IAB). Establish Wallapop as a relevant media player by cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with top agencies and direct clients
- Develop our advertising business
- Create and steer Wallapop’s strategy for advertising
- for 3rd-party ad placements (leading to external URLs)
- for future 1st-party advertising (i.e., visibility for businesses/brands selling on Wallapop), based on bump usage, Wallapop strategy/bets, and competitor offerings and benchmarks – in close collaboration with Product Manager to support creation and definition of Retail Media products (Product to lead product portfolio, experimentation/testing, and integration within Wallapop experience; Advertising Business Manager to lead pricing, sales, and administration)
- Create and meet business metrics and goals as well as quality targets; analyze and forecast revenue performance
What We’re Looking For 🔎
- Solid experience in digital media, ideally with a focus on programmatic display
- Proven experience of leadership and sales team management
- Established network of contacts within major media agencies and advertisers in Spain
- Strong analytical skills, with deep understanding of programmatic advertising technologies and data-driven targeting
- Strong knowledge of sustainable digital advertising practices and industry trends including Retail Media
- Business proficiency in English. Spanish proficiency a big plus
Do note that all our jobs are 📍 Barcelona based. We follow a hybrid model where flexibility rules. We commit to a minimum of 6 days per month in the office. Each team self-organizes to decide on cadence and in-person/remote rituals.

Culture Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes.
