Role responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements 

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for large enterprise data transformation and migration programmes. 

• Elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements across data domains including data warehousing, reporting, MDM, and analytics platforms. 

• Translate complex business problems into well-structured user stories, use cases, process flows, and data mapping documents. 

• Conduct gap analysis between current-state and future-state data landscapes and develop actionable roadmaps. 

 

Stakeholder & Delivery Management 

• Partner closely with data engineers, architects, product owners, and senior business stakeholders to align on priorities and outcomes. 

• Facilitate requirements workshops, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder reviews as part of SAFe Agile delivery. 

• Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring stories are refined, estimated, and prioritised for sprint planning. 

• Track and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to programme leadership. 

 

Data & Analytics Enablement 

• Define data quality rules, acceptance criteria, and data validation frameworks for transformed datasets. 

• Work with data stewards and governance teams to ensure compliance with data policies and regulatory requirements. 

• Support the development of dashboards, reports, and analytical models by providing clear business context and KPI definitions. 

• Identify opportunities to leverage analytics and AI/ML capabilities to drive business outcomes. 

 

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

• 7+ years of hands-on Business Analysis experience, with at least 4 years focused on data and analytics projects. 

• Proven track record of delivering on large-scale enterprise data transformation programmes (migrations, platform modernisation, data lake/warehouse implementations). 

• Deep understanding of and practical experience working within SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) delivery models. 

• Strong ability to write structured, unambiguous requirements documentation including user stories, acceptance criteria, BRDs, and data mapping specifications. 

• Proficiency in SQL for data exploration, validation, and requirements verification. 

• Experience working closely with data engineering and architecture teams — able to speak the language of both business and tech. 

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across business and technical audiences. 

 

Nice to have qualifications  

• Certifications (any of the following are a plus)Certifications:
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) — IIBA 
  • PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) — PMI 
  • SAFe Practitioner (SP) or SAFe Agilist (SA) Certification 
  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or equivalent 
  • Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals or equivalent 
  • Hands-on exposure to cloud data platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Dataflow, or Pub/Sub. 
  • Experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, notebooks, Unity Catalog) in an analytics or data engineering context. 
  • Familiarity with data mesh architectures, data product thinking, or data contract frameworks. 
  • Experience in industries such as Manufacturing, Agrotech, BFSI, Retail, or Healthcare where data governance is critical.
