Purpose of the Role
This role supports the legal team on a junior-level procurement project with a focus on supplier due diligence, data cleansing, and process improvement. You’ll play a key part in strengthening our third-party supplier records, working closely with internal teams to collate and validate supporting documentation, and maintain accurate, compliant procurement records. This is a short term assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier data validation: Review, update and organise our supplier tracker to ensure accuracy, completeness and accessibility.
- Stakeholder liaison: Engage with internal stakeholders (e.g. department heads) to identify gaps in the supplier tracker and obtain missing documentation.
- Supplier tracker ownership: Manage and maintain the central supplier tracker, ensuring correct input, data integrity, and version control.
- Process automation support: Collaborate with IT to streamline processes, particularly around supplier renewal reminders and compliance tracking.
- Compliance support: Ensure the supplier tracker aligns with internal procurement policies and external regulatory standards.
- Project support: Assist the legal team with any ad hoc procurement-related tasks as needed, including contract collation and review coordination.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in procurement, contract admin, or supplier management would be ideal.
- Ideally a degree in law or familiarity of contracts.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage large data sets and competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Confident working across departments to collect and consolidate information.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with an eye for process improvements.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with supplier databases or contract management systems a plus.
- Experience working with legal or compliance teams is desirable but not essential.
