Role Overview

We're looking for a Motion Designer to create high-quality, engaging animations and motion graphics for our mobile game projects.

This role is ideal for an experienced motion designer with a strong sense of timing, polish, and feel, who enjoys working on live products and collaborating closely with artists, product managers, and engineers. You’ll be responsible for producing and refining animation assets that elevate the visual quality of our games while supporting gameplay, usability, and performance.

You bring strong artistic judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of your work from concept through final implementation in-engine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality 2D animations, VFX, and motion graphics for in-game features, live ops events, and content updates, using AI tools where they accelerate ideation, reference gathering, and iteration without compromising craft
  • Maintain a consistent motion language across the game, partnering with Art Direction, Product, and Design to keep motion aligned with gameplay and player experience
  • Create prototypes, references, and explorations for new features and events — bringing AI into early concepting and motion reference where it speeds the path to a strong direction
  • Prepare production-ready animations optimised for mobile performance, and implement and tune them in-engine alongside engineers
  • Collaborate with UI/UX artists on clear, readable, and engaging interface motion
  • Iterate based on feedback, playtests, and live performance data, using AI to support scripting, post-production, and the less creative parts of the pipeline
  • Support the marketing team on UA videos and playable ads, bringing the same craft bar to performance creative
  • Develop and share AI-assisted workflows that integrate cleanly with After Effects, Spine 2D, and Unity, helping raise quality and velocity across the animation team
  • Contribute to animation guidelines and support fellow animators through feedback and example-setting

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 3-5 years as a Motion Designer or 2D Animator in games or interactive products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating animation quality, range, and feel
  • Excellent animation fundamentals: timing, spacing, easing, anticipation, and follow-through
  • Experience creating animations for mobile games, ideally in the casual or social casino space
  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools: After Effects, Spine 2D, Photoshop, and Figma
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI tools across the motion pipeline - LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT) and generative video/image tools (Runway, Kling, Sora, Midjourney, Luma) - with strong prompting skills and clear judgement about where AI adds value and where it doesn't
  • Curiosity about emerging tools and a willingness to experiment, evaluate, and adopt new workflows as the landscape evolves
  • Able to take ownership of tasks and deliver polished work with minimal supervision; strong collaborator and communicator
  • Bonus: experience with in-engine animation implementation (Unity, DOTween, or similar), live ops content, and UA video or playable ad production
