2026 Postgraduate Summer Internship - Investments
About the role
Tower Peak Partners is currently experiencing unprecedented growth. The Firm’s Industrial Private Equity Investment Team is offering interns the opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced and professional group of investors.
The 10-week Postgraduate Investment Internship is offered in both London and New York during the academic summer period. Interns demonstrating strong performance and alignment with the firm’s values may be invited to join the firm on a full-time basis following the internship.
The selection process will consist of one or more interviews with members of the Investment Team, focused on assessing analytical ability, motivation, and cultural fit. As part of the process, candidates maybe asked to complete a practical exercise designed to evaluate proficiency in analytical and presentation tools, including financial or commercial analysis, modelling, and the preparation of a short presentation based on their findings.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the evaluation and execution of live investment opportunities by conducting financial analysis, coordinating due diligence, and preparing materials for internal discussions and investment committees.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess the performance and valuation of potential and existing portfolio companies, testing multiple operating and capital structure scenarios.
- Conduct in-depth sector and company analysis, including market sizing, competitive benchmarking, and trend identification, to support investment theses and strategic recommendations.
- Draft and refine investment memoranda that clearly articulate the business case for potential acquisitions, including investment rationale, valuation summary, risk considerations, and projected returns.
- Track financial and operational performance metrics of portfolio companies, assisting in quarterly reviews, valuation updates, and reporting to senior management and investors.
- Prepare client and internal presentations, including market updates, pipeline overviews, and portfolio reviews, using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel to visualize data effectively.
- Work collaboratively with team members across different offices and functional areas (finance, legal, and operations) to ensure efficient execution of investment processes.
Essential Skills and Characteristics
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving ability with attention to detail and accuracy in analytical work.
- Familiarity with financial statements, corporate finance principles, valuation techniques and accounting fundamentals.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and contribute ideas proactively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate findings in an investor-ready format.
- Collaborative mindset and interpersonal maturity, enabling seamless coordination within small, high-performing teams.
- Ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining composure under pressure and tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- Excellent academic credentials from a leading university, ideally an MBA in addition to a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a scientific discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with financial databases is an advantage.
- Prior internships or practical experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or project finance are highly desirable.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in an additional European language and international work or study experience are considered strong assets.
