As Senior Project Manager in the Sustainable Finance Platform, you will play a pivotal role within Systemiq’s fastest-growing platform. You will contribute to the strategic development of our Sustainable Finance initiatives in Brazil, supporting efforts to influence policy, financial institutions, and investment strategies that accelerate the country’s transition to a low-carbon and regenerative economy.
You will oversee high-impact projects, engage with key financial stakeholders (banks, institutional investors, private equity, government bodies, and multilateral organizations), and contribute to thought leadership in climate-aligned finance. Thought your career, you will have developed expertise in sustainable finance, either through financial and strategic advisory or by working in asset management, a network in Brazil/LATAM, and the ability to drive policy and regulatory influence while aligning with Systemiq's global objectives. Please note: we strongly prefer candidates who have experience working in strategy consulting, financial advisory/professional services, or asset management with an emphasis on sustainable finance
Key Responsibilities
-Project Management & Team Leadership
- Lead multi-stakeholder projects in blended finance, climate risk, and ESG integration.
- Ensure high-impact delivery by coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and develop the Brazil-based Sustainable Finance team.
-Market Influence & Policy Engagement
- Build relationships with financial institutions, policymakers, and investors.
- Shape Brazil’s sustainable finance policies, aligning with CBN, BNDES, TCFD, and ISSB frameworks.
- Represent Systemiq Brazil at industry conferences and regulatory discussions.
-Business Development & Market Expansion
- Drive new opportunities in climate finance, blended finance, and impact investing.
- Expand influence through strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee budgeting and resource allocation.
-Thought Leadership & Public Engagement
- Provide insights on sustainable finance, COP30, and industry trends.
- Contribute to reports, panels, and industry forums.
- Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in sustainable finance, investment, strategy consulting, or financial policy development, with a strong focus on Brazil/LATAM.
- 3+ years in a leadership role, with a track record of managing senior teams and shaping organizational strategy.
- Deep expertise in sustainable finance, including climate-aligned finance, ESG integration, impact investing, and nature-based finance solutions.
- Strong understanding of Brazil’s financial landscape, including regulatory frameworks (e.g., CBN, BNDES, CVM, and Brazilian Green Taxonomy).
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects and influencing decision-making at the highest levels.
- Proven ability to drive policy influence, shape regulations, and build consensus across government, private sector, and civil society.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (Spanish is a plus).
- Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in strategy advisory, investment banking, or financial consultancy is strongly preferred.
