About the role
We’ve spent the last two years actively shaping EU legislation to ensure our Account Verification Services (AVS) became the gold standard. After successfully lobbying for a safer financial landscape, we’ve emerged as the EU market leader in Account Verification (VOP, CoP), widely considered the standard in the industry. We have outgrown the "blank canvas" startup phase, but we are not a rigid corporate machine. We have traction, a strong value proposition, and established playbooks. However, we are now in the pre-product-market-fit phase for broader Europe. We don’t need you to build from scratch, and we don’t want you to just "maintain." We need a leader to optimize our existing Dutch success and adapt it for a massive European rollout. As the VP of Sales, you will own the entire commercial domain for New Business across Europe—spanning Sales, Presales, and Partnerships. Your goal is simple but ambitious: bridge the gap between our Dutch dominance and European market fit to hit our ambitious targets. Responsibilities include:
- European GTM Execution: Own and drive our European GTM efforts for main Tier 1 markets (France, Germany, Spain, Italy). You will navigate local realities to gain new logos and drive Net New ARR.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of people in several departments (AEs, Presales, Partnerships, and Inside Sales) located primarily in NL, with local presence in DE and UK.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and the CRO to ensure the product evolves alongside European market demands.
- Complex Deal Leadership: Act as the "closer" or executive sponsor for large-scale, complex enterprise opportunities.
About you
We are looking for someone who thrives in the "middle" phase of a company. You enjoy taking something that works and making it scalable, repeatable, and localized. We need a human oriented commercial leader, you are as comfortable coaching a junior Inside Sales rep as you are sitting across from a C-level executive at a Tier 1 bank. Furthermore, you have:
- 10+ years of experience in Enterprise software sales, with a strong track record of closing high-value deals. Experience with regulatory tech is a must.
- Solid experience leading commercial teams through international growth.
- Hands-on experience with GTM Localization:. You know how to pivot strategies for different regulatory environments and business cultures. You have the analytical skill to look at local market realities and adapt the value proposition, pricing, or outreach strategy accordingly.
- Collaborative, data-driven, and hands-on leader able to turn insight into action
- Results-oriented, with a strong bias for action and ownership of outcomes.
- Resilience & Agility: You aren't rattled by the "messiness" of a scale-up. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can pivot when a specific EU vertical requires a different approach
- Leadership skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a multidisciplinary team, driving a collaborative and high-performance culture.
