IT Service Engineer

We are looking for an IT Service Engineer to join our Madrid office team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to our users and staff, ensuring optimal use of hardware and software tools whilst enhancing system performance. You will also play a key part in standardising and innovating our IT infrastructure through hands-on projects at an exciting time of product scaling and tooling evolution.
What the role involves
- Independently resolve hardware, software, and access tickets, improving documented processes along the way
- Administer core platforms including Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Meet, Shared Drives, Calendar, Google Admin Console), Okta (user lifecycle, MFA policies, basic app assignments), Slack, Notion, and Zoom
- Configure and troubleshoot VPN/ZTNA and remote access solutions
- Set up and support advanced workplace IT configurations (meeting rooms, printers, town hall spaces)
- Build and maintain basic automation workflows using Slack Workflows, Zapier, Google Workspace automations, and n8n
- Manage and prioritise a personal ticket queue effectively
- Maintain and improve IT knowledge base entries
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding end-to-end
- Escalate complex issues with clear diagnosis notes and follow up until resolved
What we are looking for
- Minimum secondary school / vocational IT qualification; BA preferred
- Google Workspace administration experience (users, groups, licensing, Gmail routing basics, Shared Drives, Google Admin Console)
- Okta administration experience (user lifecycle management, MFA policies, basic app integrations and assignments)
- Administration of collaboration tools (Slack, Notion, Zoom, Google Meet)
- VPN/ZTNA administration and configuration
- Basic automation skills: Slack Workflows, Zapier, Google Workspace automations, n8n
- Basic scripting for task automation
- Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably GCP)
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent hardware knowledge
- Google Associate Workspace Administrator or equivalent
- Base in Madrid as this job will require hybrid work
Nice to have
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification
- Google Associate Workspace Administrator or similar certification
- Basic Project Management course or qualification
