Junior Basketball Trader

As a Junior Basketball Trader, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of basketball odds across Super's growing product — from setting pre-match lines to managing high-speed in-play markets covering the NBA, NCAA, EuroLeague, Liga ACB, and beyond. Based on the trading floor in São Paulo, this is a role for someone with a courtside mind: precise, quick to react, and passionate about the game. You will work on a shift-rotation basis, including evenings and weekends, to be at the heart of the action when markets are live.

What the role involves

• Market Management: Set up and price a wide range of basketball markets, including Point Spreads, Moneylines, and Totals (Over/Under)
• Player Props: Help compile odds for player stat markets including Points, Rebounds, Assists, Threes Made, and Double-Doubles
• In-Play Trading: Manage live basketball games using our in-house Hoops Model, adjusting lines in real time as momentum shifts
• Risk Monitoring: Assess incoming bets to identify sharp patterns and work with the Risk team to protect the company's exposure during high-stakes games
• Competitive Analysis: Monitor global market movements to ensure prices are both attractive to customers and mathematically sound
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with data scientists and Playstack developers to provide feedback on improving the speed and accuracy of basketball models

What we are looking for

• Strong knowledge of basketball — understanding of tactical concepts, player roles, and how injuries or rotational changes affect game dynamics
• Comfort with numbers and basic probability, including an understanding of how odds represent the likelihood of an event
• Good English speaking and writing skills for collaboration with global teams
• High comfort level with Excel and the ability to learn complex trading software quickly
• Ability to make calm, logical decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Eagerness to learn and be mentored by experienced traders

Nice to have

• Degree in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Experience with personal sports betting or high-level fantasy basketball
