Mid-Level Accountant Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for recording day to day transactions including monthly reporting and reconciliation of accounts.
• Experience processing invoices that reflect current VAT regulations, including identifying and applying the correct tax rates.
• Safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries, prepare balance sheets, and monthly financial reports, as required.
• You assist in the preparation of tax related obligations and compliance with local tax regulations.
• Assist in preparation of intercompany invoices and monthly reconciliation.
• Preparing financial statements and support month-end and year-end closing process including financial and internal audits.
• Involved in building and improving processes to support business growth and efficient work flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance or relevant CFC qualification.
• Working knowledge of current Brazilian VAT regimes, including ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS, and COFINS.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian Accounting Principles (PCBR) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting or finance role or as auditor.
• Big 4 experience desirable.
• Willingness to learn and motivation to advance in the field of accounting.
• Fluent/native-level Portuguese (Brazil) language skills.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and recording financial transactions.
• Previous experience as an Accountant/CPA and bookkeeper.
• Industry experience is desirable but not essential.
• Structured approach to balancing multiple demands and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
