Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to drive the people and technical growth of the Sports vertical. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Super, including Product, Design, Data, and QA, playing a key role in shaping both engineering culture and delivery outcomes for the Sports business area.

What the role involves

  • Lead a team of engineers, with tech leads, software engineers, and QAs reporting directly to you.
  • Ensure growth and development opportunities for all team members through coaching and mentoring, identifying and removing blockers, running regular 1:1s and feedback sessions, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Nurture strong relationships with other engineering managers, technical leads, and product managers.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define priorities, manage expectations, and ensure regular updates and follow-ups on the team's scope of work.
  • Support engineering department goals by setting team requirements, objectives, and timelines.
  • Make relevant technical and business decisions that ensure predictable delivery in terms of timelines, stability, and performance.
  • Build and maintain a culture of engineering excellence, upholding high standards of quality and reliability.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in technical and people leadership.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, product, QA, and data.
  • Experience resolving complex engineering and communication challenges.
  • Strong time management, organisational, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining frontend applications or microservices-oriented architectures.
  • Experience in online casino or sports betting products, with a track record of driving improvements.
