Head of DACH Open Distribution Partnerships

Genève, Geneva, Switzerland

StubHub is on a mission to redefine the live event experience on a global scale. Whether someone is looking to attend their first event or their hundredth, we’re here to delight them all the way from the moment they start looking for a ticket until they step through the gate. The same goes for our sellers. From fans selling a single ticket to the promoters of a worldwide stadium tour, we want StubHub to be the safest, most convenient way to offer a ticket to the millions of fans who browse our platform around the world.

We are seeking a senior, commercially driven leader to serve as Head of DACH Open Distribution Partnerships. Based in Geneva, this role will own the regional strategy and execution for securing direct distribution agreements with content rights holders (CRHs), primary ticketing platforms, and strategic partners with a primary focus on Germany and secondary focus on Austria and Switzerland.

This leader will play a critical role in expanding high-quality direct inventory supply on StubHub and viagogo while positioning our marketplaces as strategic distribution partners across the region.

This is a high-impact, externally facing leadership role reporting into the global Open Distribution organization.

What You'll Do:

Market & Commercial Leadership

  • Own and execute the DACH Open Distribution strategy across sports, music, festivals, and arts & theatre
  • Identify, prioritize, and close direct issuance partnerships with rights holders and primary platforms across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities in the region
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements that drive incremental revenue and high-quality supply

Partner Development

  • Develop senior executive relationships with clubs, promoters, venues, federations, and primary ticketing partners
  • Position StubHub and viagogo as strategic distribution partners, not simply resale marketplaces
  • Educate partners on the value of open distribution, including global demand, pricing intelligence, and automation
  • Ensure strong post-launch partner performance and long-term relationship health

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Partner closely with Product, Integrations, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to bring partners live efficiently
  • Provide regional market feedback to inform product roadmap and commercial strategy
  • Collaborate with global Open Distribution leadership on forecasting, prioritization, and performance tracking

Regional Leadership

  • Serve as the DACH market expert within the global Open Distribution organization
  • Help shape regional go-to-market strategy, vertical prioritization, and partnership playbooks
  • Contribute to global best practices as the program scales

What You've Done:

  • 10+ years in partnerships, business development, or commercial roles in ticketing, sports, music, or live entertainment
  • Strong existing network across DACH rights holders, promoters, venues, federations, or primary ticketing platforms
  • Proven track record of sourcing and closing complex, high-value commercial deals
  • Experience operating in marketplace, platform, or distribution businesses strongly preferred
  • Experience working across German-speaking markets highly preferred
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial instinct
  • Exceptional negotiator comfortable with senior stakeholders
  • Highly autonomous operator who thrives in build-mode environments
  • Data-driven and performance-oriented
  • Credible external ambassador for StubHub and viagogo
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-scaling global program
  • Fluent in English and German required

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with ticketing integrations or primary platform partnerships
  • Familiarity with Bundesliga, major European tours/festivals, and regional promoters
  • Experience in high-growth or transformation environments
  • Additional European language skills a plus

Why Join Us:

  • Help shape the future of ticket distribution globally
  • Build foundational partnerships in one of our highest-priority European regions
  • Work at the intersection of sports, music, and technology
  • Join a high-visibility, high-impact strategic initiative
  • Competitive compensation plus performance-based incentive
