About the Role:
As an Software Engineer II (Backend), you’ll build 0-to-1 features for our AI-powered chatbot, creating step-by-step experiences that help customers resolve issues directly in chat using OpenAI and Claude. You’ll own a key part of the customer journey; handling orders, ticket substitutions, and refunds, impacting millions of users worldwide.

What You've Done
- 2 - 4 years of software development experience across languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C#
- AI experience with interest in building AI-enabled interfaces and workflows; exposure to tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or other LLM-based systems.
- Product-oriented mindset with a passion for building intuitive, high-quality user experiences that balance technical correctness.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.

$165,000 - $200,000 USD
