Group Technical Product Manager – Platform (StubHub, Inc., New York, NY)

 

Develop technology platforms that operate at scale, organize business capabilities into services, and ensure proper platform operation, deployment, and provisioning. Ensure deliverables are sequenced to maximize impact for internal customers. Collaborate closely with the entire engineering organization to identify pain points and gather detailed requirements, ensuring the platform organization can develop effective solutions tailored to meet the needs of stakeholders. Translate complex technical challenges and user needs into clear, actionable product requirements and detailed specifications. Drive the continuous evolution of platform capabilities, fostering innovation and supporting the adoption of new technologies. Manage software development projects across multiple teams inside of the platform organization, and with multiple stakeholders. Drive the adoption of platform developed frameworks, tools, and services throughout the engineering organization, through advocacy and educational initiatives. Build technical roadmaps using expert insights and industry best practices to enhance platform scalability, performance, agility and efficiency. Break down complex systems and processes so they can be easily understood and communicated within the organization. Analyze data to evaluate platform behavior and performance using tooling such as SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, Hex and Azure Data Explorer. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 3 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to StubHub Inc. at 3 World Trade Center – 175 Greenwich Street, 59th Floor, New York, NY 10007. Salary: $179,982 to $270,000 per year.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Product Manager, Software Architect, or any occupation/position/job title involving technical product management.

 

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept 3 years of post-secondary studies in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Product Manager, Software Architect, or any occupation/position/job title involving technical product management.

 

Must also have experience in the following: 4 years of professional experience defining and building cloud-native software products to deliver an internal cloud platform at scale; 4 years of professional experience utilizing Jira, SQL (including MySQL, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL) and agile delivery methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban); 4 years of professional experience partnering with Product Engineering and Cross-Functional teams to define the needs to support strategic planning and execution, as well as metrics, program requirements, and scope; 4 years of professional experience leading teams to deliver programs and products from inception to delivery, including operations and maintenance; 4 years of professional experience analyzing data to evaluate platform behavior and performance using SQL and Tableau; 4 years of professional experience writing clear and concise technical product documentation including product specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria; 4 years of professional experience identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of platform features; and 1 year of professional experience utilizing Snowflake and Hex.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
