Data Center Comissioning Manager

About the job:

We are seeking a Data Center Commissioning Manager that will supervise entire commissioning process from L1 to L6, with the focus validate functional testing scrips and their operational impact, coordinate Level 4 (Functional Testing) and Level 5 (Integrated Systems Testing) commissioning activities in a mission-critical data center environment.

This role is embedded within the Operations team and ensures that all systems are tested, validated, and transitioned into live operations with full compliance to performance and reliability standards. The engineer will work closely with an external commissioning company, overseeing their activities and ensuring alignment with operational goals. Additionally, the role includes the development and testing of handover documentation such as MOPs (Maintenance Operating Procedure), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and EOPs (Emergency Operating Procedures) to ensure operational readiness. A strong focus on Electrical and Mechanical domains as well as on BMS (Building Management Systems) and EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems) is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees overall commissioning testing and process from L1 to L6, across CxM (Commissioning Management) and CxA (Commissioning Agent)
  • Supervise and coordinate Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with data center standards.
  • Collaborate closely with external commissioning companies to oversee testing and validation processes.
  • Supervise commissioning activities with a focus on BMS and EPMS systems, ensuring integration and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with external commissioning companies to validate Electrical, Mechanical, BMS/EPMS functionality during Level 4 and Level 5 testing.
  • Lead the development and testing of MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs for data center systems.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the commissioning company and internal operations teams.
  • Review and validate commissioning documentation, test results, and issue resolution snags logs.
  • Support the transition of commissioned systems into live operations through structured mhandover processes.
  • Influence key stakeholders and build effective working relationships to resolve issues and ensure successful project delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering. 
  • 5+ years of experience in data center comissioning. 
  • Familiarity with Data Center or Industrial comissioning process. 

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in data center commissioning, with proven expertise in Level 4 and 5 testing.
  • Strong understanding of BMS (Building Management Systems) and EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems).
  • Familiarity with DC operations
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
