Security and Compliance Administrator
About the job:
Do you have experience in implementing or managing compliance of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) or working with ISO standards? Start Campus is hiring a Security and Compliance Administrator to help us implement and maintain a best-in-class ISMS. This role is part of the Security Team at Start Campus, as well as support from the team, further formal training and career development is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the ISMS team on the development and implementation of information security policies, standards, controls and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate cyber threats.
- Monitor and analyse security systems to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments and maintain up-to-date information security trackers, including the ISMS risk register.
- Coordinate Information Security Management System (ISMS) management meetings and ensure completion of action items.
- Support incident response efforts and engage with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
- Own the business continuity plan and ensure this is tested annually
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into each team.
- Ensure that security awareness training is provided to employees and contractors.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging threats to enhance our security systems.
- Assist with compliance efforts related to regulations and industry standards, including ISO27001, SOC2 and others.
- Champion our ISMS to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide sales and other teams with information related to information security and standards when required.
- Ensure that audit activities (external and internal) are scheduled and completed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field or 2+ years working in information security position
- Demonstrated success in similar previous role, preferably in a technology or data center environment.
- Strong understanding of information security principles, concepts, and technologies.
- Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g. Cybersecurity Framework, ISO27001, SOC2).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in prioritising tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring tasks are completed
- Proficiency in managing stakeholder expectations, building strong relationships, and facilitating effective communication between teams.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment..
- Fluency in English
