Position Description

Communications Manager 

Permanent, Full Time 

Location:  Singapore 

RightShip is seeking a versatile Communications Manager with strong content creation and public relations expertise to join our marketing and communications team. The Communications Manager will develop and execute strategies for our corporate, product, and internal communications efforts. 

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for aligning and increasing awareness of RightShip’s offerings and enhancing our company image by creating and amplifying content across various formats and channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in simplifying complex topics for diverse stakeholders and possess strong public relations skills. Experience in the technology and/or maritime sector is a plus. 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will serve as a key point of contact for various stakeholders and collaborate closely with peers across the organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities   

Content and Communications Strategy 

  • Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive content and communication strategy that aligns with company’s goals, brand identity and supports the business growth strategy across core customer segments.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and design teams to create a unified and effective content strategy.
  • Manage a comprehensive content message framework, collaborating closely with all departments. 

External Communications 

  • Develop, implement, analyze, and optimize customer communications strategies and activities, ensuring alignment with key business priorities.
  • Collaborate with the broader Marketing and Communications team to create communications assets (blogs, press releases, thought leadership, product guides, videos, case studies) for various channels, ensuring both strong commercial impact and consistent brand messaging.  
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone, across channels including website, social media, email, video, and print.
  • Manage social media calendar in accordance to campaign timelines.  
  • Make recommendations for new and innovative content across different channels including social media, email, web, events, and media.
  • Work with a PR agency to build media relationships, develop and distribute press materials, organize press engagements, monitor media coverage, analyze its impact on brand perception, and handle media inquiries and crisis communications. 

Internal Communications 

  • Coordinate internal communication efforts to engage and inform employees across all levels of the organization.
  • Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications to plan, manage and deliver quarterly Town Halls/Staff Briefings 

Metrics Reporting 

  • Define key communications success metrics and implement systems to track and analyze performance. Use insights to inform future content and communications strategies. 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience  

  • Tertiary qualification Communications
  • 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong communications and writing skills across multiple formats
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Works independently, uses initiative
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to adapt to new online platforms & technologies
  • Good time management skills & demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
