About this role:
Renaissance Global are recruiting for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for our China and North Asia business to join our growing team.
As the Sales Development Representative (SDR) for China and North Asia, you will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities with international and bilingual schools across mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. Your fluency in both English & Mandarin and understanding of the regional education landscape will be key in engaging school leaders and influencing decision-making. You will also support your peers by sharing regional insights and setting high standards of performance.
You will communicate performance metrics, market insights and questions to your direct line manager on a weekly basis. They will identify, understand and research lists of international schools and groups to target, and creatively personalize and develop campaigns to generate new business opportunities, while collaborating within a team.
Sales Development Representative Job Responsibilities:
When looking at the responsibilities can be broken down into the following areas:
- Successfully segment your region into key focus areas to target international schools.
- Build and qualify a pipeline of top-of-the-funnel leads across China and North Asia, with a focus on international and bilingual schools, as well as key enrichment schools within China.
- Use Mandarin and English to communicate effectively with senior school stakeholders understanding their needs, pain-points and goals.
- Create tailored outreach campaigns that reflect local culture, school structures, and education trends.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to maximise lead generation and ensure timely follow-up and qualification of inbound leads generated through campaigns, digital initiatives, and other marketing activities.
- Coordinate lead flow and follow-up efforts linked to regional events, conferences, and international market visits, ensuring seamless alignment between marketing, international consultants and the contracted international school groups.
- Collaborate with the regional sales team to support seamless handovers of qualified opportunities.
- Track and report on lead activity, market trends, and performance metrics using CRM tools ensuring data accuracy and visibility.
- Contribute to a high-performance team culture.
Skills and experience required:
To be considered for the role of Sales Development Representative (SDR) for China and North Asia, we are looking for an experienced sales development professional who has a proven track record of operating in highly cross-functional initiatives, hitting Objective and Key Results (OKRs), and succeeding in a complex and fast-moving environment
You will also have:
- Experience in lead generation or sales development, ideally within EdTech or SaaS.
- Driven to learn and succeed in Edtech sales
- Excited to execute innovative, targeted campaigns to new international regions
- Excellent communication skills, via phone, written and verbal skills
- Fluent in Mandarin and English is a strong advantage (written and verbal).
- Deep understanding of the international/bilingual school landscape in China and North Asia.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Self-starter with a high level of cultural intelligence and sensitivity, who looks for creative solutions to build connections and generate active leads.

Additional information:
This is role is a Hybrid role based out of our Beijing, China office (Renaissance China, Room 1526, 15th Floor, Block A, Parkview Green, No. 9 Dongdaqiao Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing) with the expectation with some travel to other offices as required for team meetings.
