Director of Product Design (m/f/d)
Raisin is the world's leading platform for savings and investment products. Founded in 2012, the FinTech connects consumers with banks in the EU, the UK and the US. This gives consumers better interest rates and banks a diversified form of refinancing. Our vision is to offer savings and investments without barriers and thus open up the global 160 trillion euro market.
Raisin currently employs more than 800 people from over 75 countries worldwide. Today, the platform holds over 80 billion euros in assets from more than one million investors which have accrued over 5 billion euros in returns.
At Raisin, our Design team blends purpose, creativity, and empathy to shape the future of wealth management. From product to brand, we work across disciplines to create seamless, trustworthy, and delightful experiences that empower users to take control of their finances.
We believe design is not just execution — it is strategic leverage. As AI reshapes financial services, we see design playing a pivotal role in defining how intelligent systems behave, explain themselves, and build trust with users. We are entering a new chapter where AI will significantly enhance both our customer experience and the way we work internally. Now, we’re looking for a Director of Product Design to lead this evolution.
Your Responsibilities
As Director of Product Design at Raisin, you will be a critical leader in shaping and elevating our product experiences across all platforms. You will drive the strategic design vision, foster design excellence, and lead the integration of AI into both our customer-facing products and internal design operations — aligning with Raisin’s vision to offer savings and investments without barriers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design & AI Leadership: Set and champion a forward-looking vision for product design that integrates AI into Raisin’s product strategy. Define how intelligent systems, automation, and personalization enhance user experience while maintaining trust, clarity, and regulatory compliance.
- Customer-Facing AI Innovation: Explore and shape AI-powered features such as intelligent guidance, personalization, conversational experiences, and AI-assisted financial decision-making. Ensure AI interactions are transparent, explainable, and human-centered.
- AI-Enabled Design Organization: Drive adoption of AI-supported workflows within Design and cross-functional teams — including AI-assisted research synthesis, rapid prototyping (e.g. Figma AI/Figma Make), vibe coding and experimentation (e.g. Cursor), AI-generated image/video production, and AI-supported feedback and critique processes.
- Team Management: Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing product design team. Foster a culture of experimentation, systems thinking, and AI fluency. Provide clear career development support for designers at all levels.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to deliver cohesive and compelling user experiences. Act as a strong voice in strategic planning, particularly in identifying and prioritizing AI opportunities.
- Design Strategy & Process: Define scalable design processes and systems that foster efficiency, creativity, and accountability. Continuously improve how design is delivered and measured, leveraging AI to increase velocity and insight quality.
- Quality & Consistency: Uphold the highest standards of craft across traditional and AI-powered experiences. Ensure visual and interaction design excellence while maintaining consistency with brand and design system guidelines.
- User Advocacy & Responsible AI: Champion the voice of the user through research, data, and empathy. Ensure inclusive, accessible solutions and advocate for responsible, ethical, and bias-aware AI design practices.
- Resilience & Adaptability: Navigate complexity with confidence, leading the organization through AI-driven transformation with clarity and calm during periods of change and ambiguity.
As our Director of Product Design, you’ll be at the helm of a growing design organization at a pivotal moment in our journey. You will shape how AI and design together influence product, brand, and business strategy. You will elevate our design maturity, modernize our workflows through AI, and define how intelligent systems build trust in digital wealth management. This is a rare opportunity to lead with purpose, collaborate across disciplines, and leave a lasting impact on a product used by millions.
