The Role
Join our dynamic IT team as an experienced IT Support Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping our technological landscape. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, supporting our IT systems and implementing cutting-edge solutions to drive business growth.
What you will do
- Help drive IT solutions that align with our business objectives.
- Implement upgrades, patching, and system enhancements.
- Provide advice on technologies including networking and storage.
- Innovate to maintain the highest standards for our technology stack.
- Research and evaluate monitoring, backup, and recovery solutions.
- Contribute to our IT strategy and roadmap implementation.
- Opportunity to gain new skills using HPC, ML and AI technologies.
- Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and simulations engineers to accelerate workflows.
- Continuously learn and apply best practices, supporting colleagues in their adoption.
What you bring to the table
- Solid experience supporting the IT strategy of a fast-growing tech scaleup.
- Proficiency in Linux, MacOS, and Windows, including virtualization and scripting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse issues and recommend solutions efficiently.
- Good networking skills (vLANs, VPNs, WiFi, etc.).
- Experience shaping and following IT processes, with a focus on documentation.
- Practical knowledge of Azure, Entra ID, InTune, Exchange Online, and Office 365.
- Familiarity of HPC systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to scope and deliver projects effectively.
