Permira Credit are seeking to recruit a Fund Operations Associate to join the CLO Operations team based in Madrid. The successful candidate will support both European and US CLO strategies, working closely with colleagues in London and the US across a broad range of operational and support processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing asset settlements and cash movements across European and US CLO structures, maintaining data management system accuracy and supporting data quality standards across fund records
- Identifying and resolving daily cash reconciliation breaks across all funds
- Compiling daily front office reporting to support trading and portfolio management teams
- Preparing and finalising daily and quarterly regulatory submissions including ESMA, MiFID II and equivalent US requirements
- Producing internal fund reporting for weekly and monthly distribution
- Inputting security instructions in custodian systems for settlement and corporate actions
- Maintaining CLO warehouse drawdown schedules and accruals, and assisting with warehouse tie out and closing processes
- Supporting project implementation across process improvement and system enhancement initiatives
- Assisting with annual audit requirements and responding to due diligence and KYC requests
- Tracking and preparing invoices and responding to internal data requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools to improve operational workflows and reporting efficiency
Desired Experience / Background
- Degree level educated; finance, accounting or economics preferred
- 2–3 years’ experience in fund operations, financial services or a related operational role
- Eagerness to develop a solid understanding of the Loan, Bond and CLO markets
- Strong interest in AI and process improvement, with a curiosity for how technology can enhance operational processes
- Highly competent in Microsoft Excel with strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills; team focused with high levels of motivation and integrity
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines under pressure
Fluent in English; Spanish language skills an advantage given Madrid location
