We are looking for an intern to join our Technology team in the UK for a minimum six-month placement starting September 2026. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced investment professionals on live deal processes, portfolio company initiatives, and market research — gaining first-hand exposure to how a leading private equity firm identifies, executes, and grows investments.
Role Overview
- Supporting Permira tech professionals in the investment decision process for buyout and growth deals
- Building financial and operating models
- Preparing investment recommendations to the Investment Committee and other team members
- Due diligence work with external advisers and management teams of potential targets
- Participation to management and expert meetings
- Portfolio monitoring
Essential Skills
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and business judgment
- Take full ownership of the tasks given
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Prove to have a cultural fit with Permira
Background & Application
- Gap year or final year student with previous experience in finance/banking/investment through which candidate has developed modelling skills and commercial/investor mindset
- All interviews will take place in person at our London office
