Front end Software Architect

Your challenge

As a Front-End Software Architect, you apply your advanced knowledge of modern JavaScript to review and reshape the entire user experience to match the needs of tomorrow. In close collaboration with user-centric design experts, UX designers, and our experienced team of functional product managers, you define the architectural vision for our user interfaces. You guide and support our software engineers and software experts in translating your technical designs into a powerful and intuitive UI.

You are responsible for:

• Developing modern user interfaces and applying the newest features and development techniques.
• Developing high-level technical designs of new software features based on a clear vision on future extensions and robustness.
• Leading medium and large development projects according to agile methodology.
• Designing and following up on large, cross-team project tracks in close collaboration with the project manager and product architect. Defining and guarding the overall software architecture and design of our applications in close collaboration with fellow software architects.
• Building and maintaining a panoramic overview of relevant technological features and trends.
• Developing best practices for software development, delivery, and technical educational materials.
• Being a consultant to senior management in long-range planning concerning new areas of technical advancements.

About you

Essential talents and qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another relevant field.
• At least 5 years of work experience in designing and building software applications.
• A deep understanding of modern JavaScript (and add-ons like TypeScript), HTML5, and React.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Pride in the high-quality software you design.
• A great team player and a good colleague.

Bonus points if you have:

• Relevant experience in cloud-native technologies, streaming frameworks, service-oriented architecture, and API development.
• Experience with working in remote teams.
• Knowledge about testing systems.
