An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Operator 1 within our Cambridge based Operations team. This role is responsible for delivering all aspects of an efficient end-to-end supply chain within Operations, including kit assembly, goods in/out, warehousing customer service and inventory management, whilst providing additional support to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll be doing for us
To work as part of a team in executing tasks as directed by the Finished Goods Supervisor including, but not limited to, the following activities:
- Final product assembly
- Handle dry ice (training will be provided)
- Able to print IFU’s and kit labels
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of materials and reagents within the kit assembly area
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment at all times
- Raising Material Transfer Form requests to replace stock as necessary
- Assisting with Materials Management tasks as directed, including the selection, and picking of warehouse items using the iPassport system
- Assisting, when required, with keying orders into the SAGE accounting system
- Assisting with final dispatch packing
- Executing and documenting tasks using approved ISO compliant documentation
- Adhering to procedures documented in the Cytocell quality system and ensuring that any non-compliance noted is reported in a timely manner using approved procedures
- Ensuring safety related issues are reported, including completion of relevant documentation
- Pro-actively seek out and identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to Supervisory Team
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive the sustainable agenda along the entire supply chain
- Collaborate with cross-functional scientific, laboratory and R&D teams that include a diverse range of personalities and skills.
To provide support to other areas of operation as required:
- Complete tasks as commensurate with the level and nature of the post as delegated by the Finished Goods Supervisor
- Assist when required with warehouse goods-in and material transfer processes and update inventory systems accordingly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure warehouse inventory levels are optimized to meet manufacturing demand while minimizing carrying costs.
- Identify and investigate any inventory discrepancies or issues and implement corrective actions.
