An opportunity has arisen in our Marketing team who play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by strategically positioning and promoting our innovative FISH and NGS products across research, clinical, and pharma markets.

As the Regional Marketing Manager for North America for OGT’s leading-edge products and services, your role is a pivotal one, working directly with our marketing and sales teams to achieve OGT’s ambitious goals. This crucial role involves the development and execution of growth initiatives and marketing plans, to accelerate sales and increase our market share in our North American markets.

You will be responsible for leveraging the marketing budget and Marketing team resources to maximize sales lead generation, develop the OGT brand, raise awareness of the product portfolio and drive attainment of the annual operating plan.

Your duties will include:

  • Formulate and execute winning tactical marketing plans that drive revenue and strengthen the OGT brand.
  • Own the design, planning and organization of regional campaigns. Execute and manage these integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, print, events, and social media, to generate leads, opportunities and ultimately increase sales.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marcoms team to plan and oversee the execution of regional events, such as trade shows, conferences, webinars, and workshops, to enhance brand visibility and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the OGT sales teams to develop bespoke Account Based Marketing (ABM) programs in key accounts to win new accounts or increase share in existing accounts.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide marketing support, including the development of sales collateral, product presentations, and targeted marketing campaigns. Spend a minimum of 5 days per month or equivalent facing prospective customers.
  • Gather market intelligence and voice-of-customer from North American regions to develop a detailed picture of the competitive landscape and identify opportunities, trends, and customer needs. Develop market segments and customer profiles. Utilize insights to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Regionalize launches of all new products and services for North America to maximize impact, generate leads and increase revenue.
  • Support the development, delivery, and coordination of a variety of high-impact, bespoke technical and commercial training programs for all new hires.
  • Evaluate NPD opportunities through the assessment of market segment attractiveness and gathering voice-of-customer.
  • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders to support the development of business cases for all proposed new product and service introductions.
  • Measure impact of all marketing activities through development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and a marketing dashboard.

What we’re looking for in you:

Essential

  • Minimum BSc (Hons) in a molecular biology discipline, a comprehensive knowledge, and a keen interest in developing applications, new technology and uptake in clinical and diagnostic applications
  • Direct experience in NGS and/or FISH, able to talk the clinical geneticists’ language
  • Customer focussed
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Successful track record in marketing role such as product management, regional marketing or strategic marketing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small but globally dispersed team and to use judgement to prioritise use of time/travel required in the most effective manner
  • Remote employee, based out of a home office.
  • Able to travel an average of 5 days (occasionally longer) every month within North America, with an annual trip to the UK offices.

Desirable

  • Direct experience in clinical molecular genetics, clinical cytogenetics, or cancer genetics
  • Lab experience in genomic technologies such as NGS, microarrays, FISH, cytogenetics/cancer
  • Minimum of 5 years proven track record of success in sales or marketing in cytogenetics or clinical molecular genetics, diagnostics, or cancer genetics market. Including managing relationships with key customers / opinion leaders in their field
  • Sales experience in the life sciences industry.
