About The Role

The Site Security Manager is responsible for the daily management of all physical security operations at the Glomfjord Data Centre. The role ensures that security services delivered by Securitas meet Nscale standards while maintaining a secure environment for staff, contractors, visitors and customers. The Site Security Manager oversees reception security, visitor management, access control, security patrols and operational readiness while acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day site security matters.

 

Responsibilities:

Site Security Management 

  • Manage all physical security operations at Glomfjord. 
  • Ensure security standards are consistently maintained.  
  • Conduct routine inspections of security controls.
  • Ensure compliance with site procedures. 

Contract Management  

  • Manage the Securitas security contract.
  • Supervise daily performance of security officers.
  • Conduct performance reviews and service meetings.
  • Ensure contractual service levels are achieved. 

Reception Operations

  • Ensure reception operates professionally and securely.
  • Oversee visitor registration and identity verification.
  • Ensure visitor escorts are available where required.
  • Maintain visitor records. 

Visitor Management  

  • Manage all daytime visitor activity.
  • Ensure customer visits are coordinated securely.
  • Ensure contractor access follows approved procedures.
  • Support VIP visits and government delegations.

 

Physical Security  

  • Ensure CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems remain operational.  
  • Conduct physical security inspections.  
  • Report defects and coordinate remedial actions.  
  • Verify perimeter security standards. 

Security Operations  

  • Coordinate responses to on-site security incidents.
  • Liaise with emergency services.
  • Conduct investigations into physical security events.
  • Produce incident reports. 

Compliance  

  • Support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 audits.  
  • Maintain site security documentation.  
  • Support customer security audits.  
  • Ensure compliance with customer physical security standards.

About You

 

Required

  • Experience managing contract security teams.  
  • Experience within data centres or critical infrastructure.  
  • Knowledge of physical security systems.  
  • Experience managing visitors and customer security requirements.  
  • Strong leadership skills. 

Desirable  

  • Experience supervising reception operations. 
  •  Genetec experience.  
  • Security auditing experience.  
  • ISO 27001 or SOC 2 knowledge.  
  • Experience supporting government or hyperscale customer environments.
