This role sits at the center of day-to-day purchasing activity, partnering closely with business teams, procurement, finance, and accounts payable to ensure purchase requests are processed efficiently and in line with internal policies. You will act as a key coordination point for PO creation, updates, approvals, and status tracking while maintaining high standards of data accuracy and service.

This is an important role for keeping procurement operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. Your work will directly support process compliance, operational efficiency, and stronger cross-functional execution, while also contributing to process improvement and standardization across PO desk operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Create Purchase Orders in NetSuite based on approved purchase requests.
  • Review incoming requests to ensure all required details are complete before processing.
  • Process POs accurately and on time to support efficient procurement operations.
  • Update existing POs when changes are needed, including quantities, pricing, or delivery timelines.
  • Validate vendor information, pricing, quantities, coding, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure each request aligns with internal procurement policies and compliance standards.
  • Maintain high levels of data accuracy and record integrity within the NetSuite system.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on PO creation, updates, and status tracking.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, and accounts payable teams to resolve PO-related discrepancies.
  • Communicate clearly across teams to keep requests moving and issues addressed quickly.
  • Monitor PO approval workflows and follow up with approvers to keep processing on track.
  • Track PO desk activity including volume, turnaround time, and pending requests.
  • Report processing metrics to support visibility into operational performance.
  • Prioritize workload effectively as business needs shift and deadlines change.
  • Support process improvement initiatives related to PO desk operations.
  • Contribute to standardization efforts that improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and stretch beyond routine tasks when required.

About You

  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement operations, purchase order processing, or procure-to-pay (P2P) environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP, especially purchase order creation and procurement modules.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and process compliance.
  • Ability to validate vendor details, pricing, quantities, coding, and supporting documentation accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence collaborating across business, procurement, finance, and accounts payable teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high service standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting business priorities and support work beyond routine tasks when needed.
