Job Summary: The Quality Manager for Supplier Quality is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of products and materials supplied to the company. This role involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS) that aligns with industry standards and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a SQMS that complies with ISO 9001, 27001, and other relevant standards such as ATEX/IECEx and HazLoc.
- Ensure suppliers' quality assurance systems meet or exceed the requirements of DIN 62443, NIST 2, and other applicable standards related to data protection and cyber security.
- Ensure suppliers' quality assurance systems meet or exceed the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.
- Review and verify suppliers' technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct process qualifications of series production at suppliers' facilities to ensure adherence to technical documentation and quality standards.
- Manage supplier responsibilities, including testing and inspection processes to maintain product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, addressing issues with sub-suppliers, establishing KPIs, and implementing failure management strategies.
- Oversee supplier auditing, selection, and management processes, including prequalification and financial audits.
- Ensure quality assurance during production by establishing and analyzing KPIs and managing product and process improvements.
- Handle after-sales quality measurements, manage supplier complaints, and facilitate quality improvements.
- Apply lessons learned to enhance the SQMS and prevent future quality issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality management with a focus on supplier quality.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ATEX/IECEx, HazLoc, and other relevant quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of Electronic Manufacturing and Box build industry
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with regular visits to supplier sites.
- May require travel to conduct supplier audits and process qualifications.
