We are seeking an Accounting Specialist for a 6-month contract to join our dynamic team in Zurich. If you are a passionate and driven professional eager to contribute to a fast-growing, fast-paced scale-up environment, we would love to hear from you!
Your main areas of accountability:
- Manage accounts payables, and prepare payments.
- Manage accounts receivables, and ensure invoices are timely, accurate, and complete in accordance with the customer’s guidelines and expectations.
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses.
- Prepare and enter month-end journal entries.
- Process, record, and review employee expense reimbursements.
- Reconcile intercompany account balances.
- Assist in controlling and reporting on expenses.
- Manage financial reporting and other accounting tasks.
- Assist with continuous process improvements.
Desired qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience with accounting software and data entry.
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures (GAAP) including Swiss Code of Obligations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work within a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- MS Office and ERP knowledge.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, German is a plus.
