Curricular Internship - Investment
The Investment Intern will be responsible for supporting the investment team in sourcing, analysing, and executing potential investment opportunities. The intern will gain exposure to the venture capital ecosystem, startup operations, and various stages of the investment lifecycle. The role emphasizes learning through hands-on projects, collaborating with senior investors, and understanding market trends that drive investment decisions.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Assisting in market research to identify emerging industry trends and startup opportunities.
- Supporting the due diligence process through financial analysis and company valuations.
- Preparing detailed reports and presentations for potential investments.
- Engaging with portfolio companies, providing operational support and gathering performance data.
- Contributing to the overall strategy by offering insights and fresh perspectives on investment theses.
- Scouting and screening of potential opportunities.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess data, markets, and startups to support investment decisions.
- Financial Knowledge: Basic understanding of financial statements.
- Time management & prioritization skills: Things can get a little hectic, so the ability to effectively manage yourself and your workload is critical.
- Excellent communication skills (in English): You must be able to organize your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling. You will be expected to together well-written, grammatically correct emails and other communications. When communicating verbally – whether over the phone, on video calls, in person or meetings – you will need to be articulate, warm and engaging.
- Flexibility: Being an effective team player means being flexible in your approach and open to getting involved with new things, even if they are not spelt out in your job description.
- IT Literacy: You should have an interest in technology, including AI and show the aptitude to bring this into your role and the projects you are accountable for delivering. You do not need to be a technologist yourself, but you must be technically literate and curious about the possibilities that technology.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Current university student
- Prior experience in the startup environment or VC preferred

- Hybrid working – we will need you in the Milan (San Babila) office from time to time, but you will normally be able to work remotely.
