Finance Transformation Specialist

THE ROLE

WiseEnergy is a trusted and established solar asset manager, offering all the services clients require to manage and optimise large-scale solar plants, from development and construction through to long-term operational asset management. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate finance professional with a keen interest in automation, new technologies and high-performance solutions to join our Finance Transformation Team.

Reporting to the Senior Transformation Manager based in London, the successful role holder will work with finance professionals as well as non-finance colleagues across the business contributing to the ongoing transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will focus on scaling, managing and maintaining the rapidly growing list of automated and semi-automated reports and play a role in the periodic update of training and technical notes, and support the BAU Team when required.

The role is targeted towards a qualified accountant with a keen interest in systems, automation and process improvement. Offering a hybrid working model between working from our Hyderabad, India office and remotely, the role requires working hours to partially match London time.  The hybrid arrangement can be discussed and agreed with the line manager on a continuous basis and are subject to changes based on business needs.

There is an expectation of consistency and high accuracy of outputs, as well as delivering and maintaining a great degree of stakeholder service (internal and external). In view of this, the successful candidate will be expected to appropriately flag issues and support their resolution through to the end and proactively drive continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • NetSuite2 migration support.
  • Scaling, managing and maintaining a growing number of Solution 7 and PowerBI reports implementing new technologies where needed.
  • Ongoing troubleshooting support for Solution 7 and Power BI.
  • Impact assessment of system configuration changes on Solution 7, Yooz, AccessPay, Zone&Co, Power BI and AMP, followed by remediating re-alignment.
  • Asset onboarding / offboarding support for new acquisitions and disposals.
  • Continuous process improvement including the cataloguing of existing processes and periodic update of training and technical notes and manuals.
  • Be an important part of the transformation strategy delivery.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Education: ACCA/ACA/CA qualification or similar.
  • Experience: Post qualification experience of 5+ years in Finance. With a track record of successful process improvement implementations.
  • Technical skills: Advanced Excel skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 solutions including Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI (knowledge of RAS, Solution 7, SQL and VBA are desirable but not essential).
  • ERP system: Knowledge of NetSuite (desirable but not essential).
  • Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose effective solutions.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder management: Ability to build relationships and assume a mentoring role with a global team of varying levels of experience and seniority.
  • Automation curiosity: A keen interest in automation, new technologies and high-performance solutions.
  • Project management: Experience in managing and/or supporting as part of team on automation / process improvement projects from inception to completion, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
