Procurement Lead

Procurement Lead

Location: London, UK (Hybrid - Tuesday to Thursday in the office)

Department: Operations

Reporting to: Sales Director – Hyperstack

ABOUT NEXGEN CLOUD:

NexGen Cloud is the company behind Hyperstack, a full-stack AI cloud serving tens of thousands of customers from AI researchers to enterprises running the world's most compute-intensive workloads. We deliver on-demand and private GPU infrastructure to teams who treat performance as a requirement, not a feature.

We're a tight-knit, fast-moving team working at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure. We practice what we preach, equipping our people with AI at every level so we can solve harder problems, ship faster, and keep raising the bar for what enterprise GPU infrastructure looks like.

THE ROLE: Procurement Lead

This role exists because our supply chain is growing in complexity and the business needs someone to own it. As GPU demand accelerates and we scale infrastructure across data centre locations globally, we need dedicated control, efficiency, and reliability across procurement and logistics. You'll have direct ownership over supplier coordination, purchasing, and end-to-end logistics — ensuring GPUs and critical equipment are sourced cost-effectively, delivered on time, and deployed without friction.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives on solving operational challenges, managing supply constraints, and building the processes that let a fast-moving business scale without breaking.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Rather than a long checklist, here's what success in this role looks like:

  • Own and develop the procurement and logistics function — building the processes, procedures, and supplier relationships that underpin the business's ability to procure and deploy infrastructure at pace
  • Manage the full supplier lifecycle — selection, evaluation, approval, account management, performance monitoring, and price negotiations — with a particular focus on building strong, resilient relationships with key hardware suppliers
  • Drive the end-to-end purchase order process — from supporting PO requisitions and monitoring inventory and utilisation data through to generating supplier forecasts and maintaining accurate procurement records
  • Own logistics from shipment planning through to delivery — coordinating with freight forwarders, managing export/import compliance, resolving customs issues, and keeping inventory tracking current
  • Manage RMA processes with suppliers — resolving issues, claims, and credit notes efficiently and without unnecessary escalation
  • Continuously identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements across procurement and logistics, and keep leadership informed of risks, challenges, and supply constraints before they become problems

ABOUT YOU:

We're more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV. You'll likely bring a combination of the following:

Essential
  • Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management — ideally within GPU, cloud, data centre, or high-performance computing environments
  • Strong understanding of GPU infrastructure and the supply dynamics that make hardware procurement in this space genuinely complex
  • Excellent commercial acumen — cost modelling, contract negotiation, pricing management, and supplier performance
  • Experience managing end-to-end logistics including international shipping, freight coordination, and import/export compliance
  • High level of ownership and problem-solving capability, with a proactive mindset and the ability to operate without heavy process infrastructure around you
  • Strong stakeholder management skills — comfortable working across engineering, finance, and leadership teams
Nice to Have
  • Experience scaling a procurement or logistics function in a fast-growing business
  • Exposure to AI/ML hardware procurement or GPU-specific supply chains
  • Familiarity with ERP or procurement management systems

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Competitive salary and annual discretionary bonus scheme
  • Employee wellbeing benefits
  • 25 days of holiday, plus public holidays
  • Flexible working arrangements (remote or hybrid, depending on role and location)
  • Real ownership and autonomy, with the trust to take initiative and experiment
  • The opportunity to make a visible, meaningful impact as we scale
  • Clear career progression and growth opportunities in a fast-growing company
  • A collaborative, international culture built on trust, transparency, and ownership
  • The chance to help shape NexGen Cloud's team, culture, and future alongside ambitious, mission-driven colleagues
