Working Student - Enterprise Data Operations (F/M/D)

Munich Hybrid (NavVis GmbH)

OUR VISION

When people use our technology to "bridge the gap" between the physical and digital worlds, they don’t just capture reality - they create a new one. In this new reality, they are smarter, more productive, more streamlined, and more creative - because they have the digital foundation to build the world they want to live in.

That’s what NavVis offers in all our products and services: the tools to not just map the world as it is, but to pave the way to a better future. To forge something new. Physical or digital, there is only one reality. And it’s the reality NavVis empowers people to build better.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Want to gain first-hand experience contributing to a global, large-scale Reality Capture customer project at our innovative high-growth company?

As part of our Enterprise Professional Services organization, you'll join a customer project team that delivers a comprehensive digital twin of our customers’ globally distributed factory network.

For a leading global Oil & Gas company, we are going to 3D scan and digitize their global refineries in the US, Europe and Asia, covering a footprint of more than 40mio sqm. You will have the opportunity to become a 3D data admin for one of these sites, managing all incoming 3D data.

Gain hands-on insights into executing a large-scale customer project, work closely with our Project Manager and 3D scanning partners, and play a key role in its success.

If you are highly interested in spatial technology like managing 3D data and enjoy the idea of taking ownership in a customer-centric and fast-paced global environment, you could be the person we are looking for!

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • You will become a subject matter expert on our NavVis IVION SaaS and will work on setting up, fine-tuning and managing our customer solution
  • After a structured onboarding, you'll work with diverse spatial data including 3D scans, point clouds, floor plans, panoramic images, and 3D models
  • As 3D Data Admin for one of the customer's global production sites, you'll manage all incoming 3D data, owning processing, quality assurance, spatial data setup, and data delivery
  • You will also interact with multiple interfaces:
    • Reality Capture Service Provider: receive data, check and approve data quality, manage data re-work
    • Project Manager: report progress of raw data capturing and final data delivery
    • Customer Success Manager: support the deployment of customer specific 3D use cases

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

  • You are excited about working with large scale spatial data (3D scan data, point clouds, 360 panorama images, 3D building models) and enjoy a global work environment
  • You are currently studying Geovisualisation, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Surveying Civil Engineering or a similar field of study
  • A basic knowledge of geographic coordinate systems and a good spatial awareness are a plus
  • Your persistence and diligence will help deliver a high-quality 3D solution to our customer
  • Your proactiveness will help you to keep all your relevant stakeholders informed and escalate issues quickly
  • Your organized, structured and reliable way of working will help you to manage your own tasks and time independently
  • Ability to communicate efficiently in business English, and ensure seamless collaboration with both external subcontractors and project managers alike

HOW WE WILL KNOW WE ARE A PERFECT MATCH

Your recruiting partner for this role is Madhulika (she/her). You can expect to go through a screening call, and up to three rounds of interviews including an onsite interview, where we would love to discover your passion and interests, introduce you to who we are and what drives us, and finally understand how we can potentially add value to each other's growth.

HOW WE WILL KEEP YOU SMILING

  • It's important to take a break from work! We offer 20 days of paid time off per year
  • We offer flexible working hours and a hybrid work setup, enabling you to plan your work around your life, and not your life around work!
  • A competitive salary that values the strengths you bring
  • Up to 4000 EUR employee referral bonus
  • As an intern or a working student at NavVis, you will have the chance to be truly involved in projects and gain first-hand experience in a fast-growing company
  • We care deeply about the development of our student employees. Your supervisor will do regular 1:1s & retrospectives to make sure we are constantly getting better at what we do.
