Frontend Engineer Design System
Mentimeter is an engagement tool with a clear goal in mind. To turn presentations into conversations. Through real-time interactivity and clear visualizations, we get people to participate, engage and become more productive. Transforming all those passive meetings, airless classrooms and drawn out trainings into valuable and memorable moments.
We truly believe that you achieve the best results by doing things together. And that successful leaders need to adopt a curious and collaborative mindset in order to get there. So with you at Mentimeter, you’ll be a big part of the ambition to help over 1 billion people listen, learn and work better together.
We’re looking for an experienced Frontend/UX Engineer to join our cross-functional Design System team and help us build our cohesive and scalable design system. If you feel motivated by our mission to equip designers and developers with a shared language and tools for rapid creation that empower them to explore and create experiences beyond the ordinary, then you will enjoy working with us.
What You’ll Do
In our Design System team, you’ll work closely with designers, engineers, and product teams to develop and maintain the design system that enhances our products and empowers teams to build consistently lovable and intuitive experiences.
You and your team will define and maintain the design system, build robust and reusable UI components, and ensure accessibility and consistency across all products. By implementing design patterns and tokens, documenting best practices, and staying updated on industry trends, you’ll help create a scalable and efficient system that enhances our development workflow.
Who you are
You have extensive experience as a Frontend/UX Engineer, or similar role focused on design systems. Proficient in React, TypeScript, Tailwind or similar, with expertise in pattern libraries and component-based design.
You have a natural curiosity about UX/UI principles, interaction design, and accessibility, understanding their importance and impact on the people who use what you build. You should be familiar with tools like Figma and Storybook and you actively contribute to product and design decisions, thriving in collaboration and open discussions. A keen eye for detail and design is a valuable bonus.
We understand that backgrounds and experiences differ, and we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the requirements. If this role excites you, and you believe you can make a valuable contribution to Mentimeter, we’d love to hear from you!
