Our flagship platform, Biolytica NEXUS, empowers clinicians and longevity experts to deliver personalized health optimization. By integrating genomics, biomarkers, wearable data, lifestyle insights, and AI-driven analytics, we help shift healthcare from reactive to preventive—focusing on prolonging healthspan and vitality.

As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Cloud Systems Architect to lead the technical evolution of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring a scalable, secure, and high-performance environment for our digital health platform.

The Role

We are looking for a Cloud Systems Architect to play a critical role in defining, designing, and implementing the cloud infrastructure that powers Biolytica NEXUS. You will collaborate closely with our development team, product leads, and executives to enhance system performance, ensure security and compliance, and drive technical excellence.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of cloud-powered healthcare solutions in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Scalability

  • Support modern cloud-native application development, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), event-driven architecture, and microservices.
  • Continuously refine the CI/CD pipeline to improve deployment speed, security, and system reliability.

Security, Compliance & Reliability

  • Implement and maintain robust security measures across authentication, data access, and cloud configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) while maintaining best practices in data privacy and protection.
  • Conduct security audits and risk assessments, proactively addressing potential vulnerabilities.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, and leadership) to align technical decisions with business objectives.
  •  Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making, offering insights on how cloud technologies can drive business growth and product scalability.

You'll Fit Great With These Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, or system design in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, CloudFront, IAM, and VPC networking.
  • Deep understanding of modern cloud computing, including serverless architectures, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Proven experience in security and compliance, with a strong grasp of IAM, KMS encryption, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, GDPR, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Expertise in performance tuning, auto-scaling, and AWS cost management.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to security, performance, and scalability.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect)
  • Experience in AI-powered cloud solutions and real-time analytics.
  • Knowledge of Python, YAML, TypeScript, or Dart (Flutter).
  • Passion for health optimization, longevity, and digital health innovations.

Why Join Us?

  • A fast-growing, well-funded startup in the health & longevity industry.
  • A high degree of autonomy, creative freedom, and growth opportunities.
  • Work with top-tier researchers, engineers, and serial entrepreneurs in the longevity space.
