Munich

Who we are

Founded in 2019, Marvel Fusion is Europe’s leading fusion energy company, uniting 120 scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs across our locations in Munich and Colorado.

Backed by over €385 million in public and private funding, we’re driven by a shared mission: to deliver clean, abundant energy to the world.

Why Marvel Fusion

By joining us, you will be:

  • Solving one of the most complex technological challenges known to humanity, harnessing Fusion on Earth
  • Part of a highly purpose-driven team working on providing the world with clean, safe and abundant energy
  • Working alongside world-leading scientists and entrepreneurs in the field of Fusion
  • Part of a start-up where growth on a company and individual level is the default

Your responsibilities

  • Candidate sourcing: Support active sourcing and pipeline building for highly specialised scientific and technical roles, including laser and plasma physicists, optics, high-power electronics, control systems, mechanical and systems engineers, across LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, academic networks, publications, conferences and other relevant talent communities.
  • Application review & screening: Support the review and pre-screening of incoming applications and participate in initial candidate conversations to assess technical background, motivation and fit for niche, hard-to-fill roles.
  • Hiring manager collaboration: Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, scientists and engineers to shape compelling job profiles and develop targeted sourcing strategies for complex technical positions.
  • Interview coordination & candidate experience: Coordinate multi-stage interview processes with technical panels and stakeholders, and support candidate communication throughout the hiring journey to ensure a smooth and professional experience.
  • ATS & recruiting reporting: Maintain accurate candidate pipelines and recruiting data in Greenhouse, including status updates, pipeline hygiene and reporting, and support the preparation of recruiting KPIs for the People team and leadership.
  • Employer branding & talent outreach: Help create job descriptions, outreach messages and candidate-facing content tailored to deep-tech and STEM talent, and support university partnerships, PhD/postdoc networks, conferences and engineering or physics career fairs.
  • People & Recruiting projects: Contribute to onboarding coordination, recruiting process improvements, tooling, talent market research and other ad-hoc People projects as Marvel Fusion continues to scale.

What you bring

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme, ideally in Business, Psychology, HR, STEM or a related field; an affinity for science, engineering or deep tech is a strong plus.
  • Genuine interest in recruiting and talent acquisition, ideally with some first exposure through an internship, working student role, university project or similar experience, but prior recruiting experience is not a must.
  • Comfortable digging into complex technical and scientific job profiles and curious to understand what differentiates great candidates across physics, engineering and other highly specialised fields.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to keep track of multiple candidates, stakeholders and hiring processes without dropping the ball.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
  • A proactive and hands-on mindset, with the confidence to take initiative, follow through and adapt in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
  • Patience and persistence when working on longer, highly specialised hiring processes and genuine curiosity about what it takes to recruit rare deep-tech talent.
  • Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse or Asana is a plus, but not required.
  • Availability for approximately 6 months, starting as soon as possible.

What we offer

  • A front-row seat to recruiting in one of Europe's most exciting deep-tech companies
  • Direct exposure to senior stakeholders across Science, Engineering and G&A
  • Real responsibility from day one, no coffee runs, no busy work
  • A collaborative, international team that values curiosity and initiative
  • Flexible start date and working hours (for working student position)
  • The chance to contribute to something that genuinely matters
