ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join our dynamic People Operations team as a key HR point of contact for employees. In this Berlin-based role, you will help drive impactful HR processes, support global operations, and enhance the employee experience from onboarding through ongoing engagement.

This is a full-time role based in Berlin, Germany.

 

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Our People Operations team is globally focused and currently based in two locations. In this role, you’ll report to the Head of People Operations and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate, efficient, and people-centered HR support across the organization.

 

ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:

  • Act as the main point of contact for the People Operations team, primarily supporting employees based in Germany and secondarily those in the United States
  • Provide backup support for other regions as needed, helping ensure continuity of People Operations services across locations
  • Drive our pre-onboarding and onboarding process - make sure our new team members feel integrated and welcome from day one
  • Draft employment contracts, amendments, certificates, confirmation letters and other required documents
  • Assist employees with relocation and immigration processes in collaboration with our external partners
  • Support employees with inquiries regarding time-off management and entitlement, e.g. sick leave, maternity & parental leave in line with local regulations and company policies
  • Assist employees with questions regarding their benefits enrollment
  • Prepare payroll data input and liaise with our external vendor, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records to ensure compliance
  • Use our HRIS effectively to extract data and create reports
  • Use the ticketing system as a primary tool for managing, tracking, and reporting employee requests; collaborate via Slack as needed
  • Engage, develop and educate employees and people managers around HR policies and programs
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements

 

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, ideally in a fast-growing environment, with a strong understanding of operational best practices and compliance requirements
  • Fluency in English
  • Professional proficiency in German (B2 level or above) preferred
  • Experience with HRIS and ticketing systems, with the ability to leverage technology to support HR operations and employee services
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets for reporting and organizing HR data
