This role sits at the intersection of analytics engineering, applied AI, and business enablement, and is especially focused on supporting financial reporting, operational visibility, and strategic decision-making.
You will work closely with analytics, data warehousing, and finance stakeholders to create scalable products and workflows on top of Lighthouse's modern data stack. - Set the technical standard for AI and ML engineering within our data platform by defining and documenting design patterns and best practices.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Data & Analytics, Business Operations, and Finance to translate ambiguous business problems into clear, measurable AI and ML data solutions.
- Build innovative AI tooling that removes toil for the team, including reusable skills and agent patterns to enhance our workflow.
- Mentor and educate Analytics Engineers, providing expert code reviews and sharing your expertise in AI and ML engineering practices.
- Drive data governance within your domain, ensuring quality expectations are met and data incidents are managed from triage to resolution.
About our team
You will be a key member of our Strategic Analytics team, which is part of the broader Data Analytics organization. Our team is at the forefront of leveraging data to drive strategic decisions across Lighthouse. We partner closely with functional teams, especially the finance department and the CFO, to build and productionise AI/ML data products. Who you are
- Proven professional experience designing and owning ML feature pipelines and the data infrastructure that supports the full ML lifecycle.
- Strong working knowledge of the requirements ML imposes on data, including point-in-time correctness, feature versioning, and reproducibility.
- Mastery of highly-performant, production-level SQL, with a strong preference for the BigQuery dialect.
- Advanced experience with dbt or an equivalent transformation framework and modern ELT tooling like Meltano or Stitch.
- Strong grounding in software engineering best practices, including Git, code review, CI/CD, and automated testing, applied to analytics and ML workflows.
- Experience using AI assistants and agents to accelerate engineering work, with the ability to validate AI-generated code.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical projects end-to-end and partnering with senior stakeholders to define requirements and drive decisions.
