We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Business Development to lead and drive the strategic growth of our Banking Services Business line. This critical leadership role will focus on developing new client relationships, enhancing existing ones, and ensuring the success of the Fintech business unit within LHV Bank. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and team leadership within the banking or fintech sector.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategic Client Acquisition:
Lead the identification and engagement of high-value prospects, focusing on building a strong pipeline of fintech clients that align with LHV Bank’s strategic goals and risk appetite.
- Deal Negotiation and Closure:
Drive the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring seamless transitions from prospecting to client onboarding. Collaborate with internal teams to structure agreements that meet client needs while aligning with LHV Bank’s objectives.
- Client Onboarding Excellence:
Oversee and streamline the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth handover to the Relationship Management team after successful onboarding.
- Market Insights and Strategic Influence:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities, inform business strategies, and maintain LHV Bank’s competitive positioning.
- Representation and Brand Advocacy:
Represent LHV Bank at industry forums, trade shows, and other key events to strengthen market presence and foster strategic relationships within the fintech ecosystem.
- Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, develop, and motivate the Business Development team to excel in prospecting, deal negotiation, and client onboarding, fostering a high-performance and client-focused culture.
- Operational Excellence:
Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of prospect management and onboarding processes by leveraging CRM tools and other relevant systems to maintain clear communication and accurate records.
- Collaboration and Governance:
Work closely with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to structure deals and onboard clients in compliance with regulatory and operational requirements. Prepare and present client profiles, credit memos, and strategic insights to executive committees.
Skills and Experience
- Proven leadership experience in business development within banking, fintech, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of UK banking regulations, risk management principles, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and fostering client relationships.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Expertise in analysing market trends and identifying growth opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach.
- Technologically adept, with an understanding of fintech innovations and digital transformation.
