US Sports Trader

 

Type of contract: temporary/permanent

Hybrid model: 2 days per week in the office

 

The team 

We are looking for a motivated new colleague, with a particular passion for Sports and detailed understanding of betting, to join our competitive international team in the US Sports department. Critical thinking under pressure and strong communication skills are key to the role.

The US Sports group and you will be responsible for compiling and trading odds for Football, Basketball, Baseball and Fightsports, with a particular focus on College Sports for this position. You will receive comprehensive training on our products and services, as well as our different tools.

The position is full time and based in our Philadelphia office.

 

As a US Sports Trader your day-to-day work will look like:

  • Compiling odds related to US Sports events (MLB, NFL, NBA, college sports & Fightsports) using mathematical models as well as relevant sports and market knowledge
  • Trading markets pre and in game, using our tools to make timely and accurate odds adjustments
  • Analyzing and monitoring risk and betting patterns on different US Sports markets
  • Communicate effectively with the different departments within Kambi and its clients
  • Delivering the best user experience for customers

 

You’ll be a great fit for the role, if you have:

  • Excellent knowledge of US Sports (MLB, NFL, NBA, college sports & Fightsports).
  • Strong numerical ability regarding probabilities and distributions
  • Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends/holidays

 

 You’ll be a great fit for the role, if you:

  • Have experience from the betting industry, preferably within US Sports
  • Hold university degree, preferably in an analytical field such as mathematics or statistics
  • Have passion for College Football and Basketball
