
Inbound Team Lead - Jumia (Full Time)

What you will be doing
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of inbound associates.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, performance expectations, and updates.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of inbound goods.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments.
- Monitor and manage daily inbound workflow, adjusting resources as necessary to meet operational targets.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance reports.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Work closely with other departments, including Outbound and Inventory, to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with management and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inbound shipments.
- Implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in distribution, warehousing or logistics and Supply Chain environment at least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, diagnose problems and identify and lead the appropriate solutions
- Ability to manage several priorities simultaneously - results orientation - while retaining all information
- Bias for action, strong work ethic and desire to achieve excellence
- English proficiency
