As the VP of Sales at Journee The Beautiful Internet, you will be the driving force behind our ambitious expansion plans. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, forging partnerships, and developing relationships with some of the world's largest and most prestigious brands. As part of the senior leadership team, you will shape and execute growth strategies that position Journee as the global leader in immersive online experiences.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Business Development:

Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new business regions and verticals, leveraging your expertise to establish Journee's presence in key markets.

  • Client Acquisition & Growth: Develop and manage a best in class new client acquisition engine and spearhead initiatives to expand strategically with our top global brands, particularly in tech, luxury, automotive, fashion and cultural sectors.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for long term, multi-million dollar engagements.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilise market trends, competitor analysis, and client feedback to inform strategic decisions, providing actionable insights to senior management.

Partnership Development & Relationship Management:

  • Establish Partnerships: Build and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term collaboration.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients, addressing their needs with excellence.
  • Strategic Account Management: Lead the development and execution of account strategies, ensuring growth within existing accounts and capitalising on new opportunities.

Leadership & Team Collaboration:

  • Leadership: Inspire, lead, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with creative, technical, and project management teams to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions that resonate with our clients and their needs.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members with empathy, sharing your knowledge and experience to develop their skills and advance their careers.

KPI focused Performance:

  • Revenue Target: Consistent above target performance.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities, ensuring sustained business development momentum.
  • Quality Execution: Emphasise strategic thinking and excellent solution-centric approaches in all client interactions and project executions.

 

Who we are looking for:

  • While a related Master’s degree is preferred, we place a higher value on demonstrated impact and experience in a related role
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development and account management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated success in closing multi-million dollar deals and managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Experienced with long term strategic engagements and SAAS Revenue Models as well as multi stakeholder relationships
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the highest levels
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on mentorship and development
  • Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to travel and flexibility to work outside standard hours when required to meet client needs and deadlines
