Working Student Launch Vehicle AIT

Mission Brief

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated working student to join our Assembly, Integration, and Test Engineering team (AIT Engineering) in Munich. In this role, you will support all launch vehicle AIT engineering activities as well as independently working on specific projects to improve our processes, workflows and various equipmentYou can expect a steep learning curve and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact to the European space industry. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

  • Conceptual design and CAD implementation of ground support equipment (GSE) and jigs for launcher assembly and integration. 
  • Modification and optimization of existing GSE and jigs. 
  • Support the AIT Engineering team with the preparation of work instructions. 
  • Assist AIT Management in the implementation of AIT flows and processes.  
  • Create templates and processes to optimize AIT workflows. 
  • Assist with troubleshooting and investigating anomalies in various AIT operations and equipment. 

Qualification Checklist 

  • Strong can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering or a related field. 
  • Proficient in CAD software. 
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. 
  • Comfortable in a flexible, fast-paced environment. 
  • Demonstrated ownership and ability to independently drive projects to completion. 
  • Strong communication skills and fluent in English.
