Working Student - Controls & Automation (m/f/d)

Mission Brief

The main purpose of the role would be to support our Controls & Automation team within Isar Aerospace. In this role you will be programming PLC and assisting engineers in rapid testing using the Mobile PLC fleet. With the help of your coding knowledge and hands-on approach for connecting electrical components and cabling you will be the perfect addition to the team.

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

• Prepare smaller test campaigns from a control systems perspective
• Commission our Mobile PLC fleet for test campaigns
• Maintain and manage the Mobile PLC fleet
• Design and develop the control system for smaller test rigs
• Support test campaigns

Qualification Checklist 

• Studying towards BSc or MSc in Automation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar areas
• First (University project or internship) hands-on experience in automation and PLC technology, ideally using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or CODESYS based systems 
• Knowledge of sensors/sensor signals and test equipment
• (University project or internship) Experience in giving technical support and troubleshooting in the field or remotely 
  
• Basic knowledge about fieldbus systems
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics 
• Fluent in English
