Communications Specialist (fixed-term) (m/f/d)

Isar Aerospace is looking for a talented, motivated and dynamic individual to contribute to our mission of democratizing access to space on an interim basis until 31.03.2026. 

The Communications Specialist will report to our Chief of Staff as part of the CEO-Office team. In this role, your main tasks will be to support in the planning, execution and implementation of Communications activities towards Isar Aerospace’s stakeholder groups in alignment with our Communications strategy. In this role, you will partner closely with the full leadership team, but also work cross-functionally with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. 

The role will be located at our Headquarters in Ottobrunn, Germany (close to Munich), but can be partly executed remotely. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

  • Create compelling materials and documents for all sorts of internal and external communications activities ensuring consistency with our communications strategy as well as our language and brand guidelines 
  • Build on and execute Isar Aerospace’s internal communication strategy by steering all internal communication channels 
  • Planning, managing and creating engaging content - regularly evaluate the efficiency of Isar Aerospace's internal communication channels and formats 
  • Draft messages, scripts and presentations for senior executives and ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different teams of the company 
  • Support in the planning and delivery of both virtual and in-person leadership exchange meetings, all-staff and internal events, social events and engagement opportunities for employees 
  • Create and manage the implementation of communication policies and processes to ensure consistency in communications of all stakeholders 
  • Conceptualize, create, align and schedule cross-channel social media content 
  • Develop and execute strategic public relations initiatives, including building and maintaining strong media relations
  • Monitor, oversee and analyze the positioning, reach and environment to anticipate issues and identify opportunities

Qualification Checklist 

 

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Politics, Publicism, Communications / PR / Marketing, Economics, Psychology, or comparable studies 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a communications role, in-house or agency side, collaborating with colleagues in multiple locations and across time zones, additional agency experience is a plus 
  • Outstanding writing skills, and ability to communicate information to multiple audiences and vary messages and level of content adequately 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite knowledge, in particular PowerPoint, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams 
  • You are a strong and diplomatic team player. You establish positive relationships with stakeholders across all levels and teams and collaborate effectively  
  • You are confident in owning projects and tasks, and like to think not only in strategic dimensions but also off the beaten track 
  • You are motivated by working in a dynamic and ever-changing “learning on the go” atmosphere and even more by the idea of wanting to make a difference. A “can do” mentality and positive attitude describe your working style and behavior 
  • Excellent organization skills to effectively plan and manage work, respond to conflicting demands on an ad-hoc basis and prioritize appropriately 
  • You have strong analytical, communications and presentation skills and a high level of attention to detail 
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and German, more languages are a plus 
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
